The situation

EDF-Énergies Nouvelles required Owner’s Engineering and Site Supervision services to implement the EPC of the Bolero 146 MV PV Plant in Chile.

Our approach

The Advisian scope and services were divided into two project phases:

  1. Pre-Construction

  2. Construction

Results

During the Pre-construction Phase, Advisian completed a gap analysis by reviewing the project information and the engineering developed by EDF-EN. From this, the Request for Proposals (RPF) was prepared, electrical calculations for the 20 MW DC sub-plant were completed, and cost estimates for the project packages (CAPEX) were developed.

Advisian issued tender documentation and provided technical evaluation for the EPC Packages, and provided technical support during contract negotiations. The detailed engineering submitted by the EPC contractors was also reviewed.

During the Construction Phase, Advisian supervised construction and commissioning works onsite, verifying conditions for acceptance of the construction works, managed interfaces between EPC Contractors, provided quality supervision, completed project controls and reporting, provided technical assistance for contract administration and claim management support, and provided technical support for the tender of the Operations and Maintenance services for Lots 5 & 6.
