Case Study

Bayu Undan subsea integrity

Pipeline Integrity Management System

Bayu-Undan is a gas-condensate field located offshore in the Timor Sea within the Joint Petroleum Development Area (JPDA). The field is 250 km southwest of Suai in Timor-Leste and 500 km northwest of the Northern Territory in Australia. Commissioned in 2004, the Bayu Undan subsea assets include infield pipelines, gas export pipeline, flexible risers, subsea manifolds and control systems

The Challenge

Continuous operation of the 500 km gas export pipeline was critical to the overall success of the development.

Our Approach

IntecSea developed, implemented and operated a Pipeline Integrity Management System that enabled the client to effectively and efficiently assure the integrity of the subsea pipeline systems. This included risk-based inspection programmes, base-line surveys, inspection schedules, inspection programmes, databases, emergency repair systems, free-spans, cathodic protection, etc.

Results

Our extensive track record in providing integrity management solutions to subsea partners facilitated the success of this project.
